Re: Voltage regulator

Did your Ebay purchase of a Zeftronic regulator solve your problem? If so may I suggest that you purchase another Z reg and retain as a spare. If there is a list of suggested C 170 spare part to keep I don't Know But a reg would be on the list. It is part of the mission statement of our type club.

Re: Author Question - 170 Plane Problems

Shannon B You recognized a good source - It is apparent that many C170 Pilots have a Book in our hearts. The oil pressure line breaking near engine block is a real mysterious item. The copper line ages, vibration etc . Fractures after excess hours in service. Extremely rare, but you want mystery in ...

Re: Changing face of aviation

Big world broad topic I am concerned about the imminent Introduction of the TESLA "cybertruck" on NOV 21. Do not warm up to the term cyberpunk at all. What if the perception is "Too Ugly" The aviation connection for me is will it park inside the hanger under the C170B wing? Am go...

Re: Tree Slalom with Jughead

Jughead You are more than a good pilot . I like the music set to the landing , adds drama stirs the soul with the event. Liked the part about "skimming the BLACKBERRY Bushes" When I will be in produce department at Fresh Thyme store . Will imagine that my Cart is your C170, will skim the b...

Method Put Air in Tire Scott 3200

There has got to be a easy way to air up that tiny tailwheel. Scott 3200.

Please share your method with me.

Regular air hose tip just does not work smoothly. Tiny space , Fat old Fingers with Joint concerns.

Re: Safety Inertia Reel on Seats

We 170 pilot/owner/users are flying 1940s technology. Today is NOT 1940! FAA is about to be very stressed about investigations about Boeing. Member of Congress are being "visited" and told to stand down about Boeing. Expect silence. The original design of Seat Step Pin was knowingly faulty...

I have learned too Walk into hanger - turn on Master Switch - look at panel - some instruments light up. Don't know why. Walk around to front of Wing - Push up on STALL switch - like the sound of Stall switch while it is on the ground tied DOWN! Back to cockpit - TURN OFF the Master switch. What eve...

Re: Questions about Logbook/Equipment/Documentation

Great Topic. Does your required documentation match your airplane as it sits on your hanger/tiedown pad?. Think about it. You see your aircraft as a wonderful assemblage of parts yielding your favorite airplane. However the FAA looks at your aircraft as a book. Yes a book. Required regulations (lots...

Welcome

You and your beautiful airplane

The air is quiet in St Louis and I just heard the Tornado Siren go off. Muffled Voice. 09//2/2019.

Hope it is not a disguised political message.

Better look outside.

Re: C-145 overhaul/swap

I do wish we could make a phone call, wire funds for a factory re man engine for the C-170 aircraft.

Have room for a Crated Re Man engine in your environs ? You can do it!

Do you have a PLAN for your C 170 to be flying in 2048?
