I also replaced my tach drive seal this last spring (along with generator seals and the shared gasket). The seal in my tach drive was also backwards. Below is a picture of the old and new seals installed.

Poplar Grove Airmotive will do them and Airworx had been posting on Facebook that they have recently done some and they are continuing to get approvals to do more on O-300’s

Re: Main Tailwheel Leaf Spring Comparison
Bill, I got a full set for my 170A with the original steel tailwheel bracket (not the fishmouth) and it fit up fine. Depending on the vintage of your 170 and if you have the later model fishmouth bracket that could determine fitup as well. Wouldn't hurt to take a caliper to your current main spring ...

That was in the article:falco wrote:Next question... which propeller?

Re: Approved Seat rail stops
Thanks to each of you for the replies and links to research. Very helpful. Yes, Doug, I believe you nailed what I was looking for. I am under the impression that those clips are required to be airworthy, but I wasn’t finding the 170 listed on the approved airplane lists. At any rate, I’ve ordered t...

Re: Approved Seat rail stops
Can someone point me to the correct seat stop that must be installed on the seat rail to prevent the seats from coming off the track? My understanding is that the various seat stops which attach to the rails don't help in preventing the seats from coming off the track, they only limit how far the s...

Re: Approved Seat rail stops
I definitely recommend adding the Cessna Secondary Seat stop. The parts are still free till the end of 2023 (only for the pilot side). You can have any A&P do the installation (at your cost). I ordered the parts from Yingling (~$1300) and then got a refund after sending them a picture of the log...

Second BTW, While Spruce has the highest listed current price for the Concorde …. they also have it “In Stock” and immediate shipping. The other common aircraft supply houses expect to have some “in stock” by mid-October. (Can’t imagine why Odyssey thinks a 6mm bolt makes sense for an aircraft repl...

George, everyone is going to have their experiences and opinions. Mine is the opposite of yours. I owned two of the XL Lightspeed headsets and used them for ten years. Then I traded them both in for a discount on a couple Sierra models and have been using them for 5 years now. Noise cancellation is ...

I know that last plane in the series, the yellow 170A as I was camped beside it (You can just see the tail in this photo) ( the yellow 170A). The owners are from Illinois and work for Southwest airlines. They were great neighbours. Here is another one of you two.. 8F235A66-4650-48B6-AB3A-46047C22725...
