Washington Island, WI

Washington Island, WI (2P2)is a small island off the tip of Door County between Green Bay and Lake Michigan. Two nice crossing grass runways. My wife and I flew there a few weeks ago with our bikes in the back of the 170A and we rode them all over the island. There are a number of small hotels/cottages to stay at. Some lavender fields that were in bloom at the time. If you don't like biking I believe there is a van at the airport, but I didn't investigate. You can also rent ATV's, bikes and scooters on the island (might have to arrange for them to be dropped off or get a ride to the ferry dock). I've heard good things about the Ephraim (3D2) airport as well.
