The seal inside my oil filler cap has worn out. The cap now rests loosely on top of the filler neck in the engine and I need a snugger fit.
The seal inside the oil cap is not listed in the illustrated parts catalog. Does anyone know the part #?
It looks similar to the fuel cap seals on my wings, but I haven't gotten back to the plane to try it yet.
Thanks

Re: Oil Filler Cap Seal?
This link to Aircraft Spruce will take to the gasket/seal which serves for an oil filler cap and gascolator seals. It cost less than $3.
(It is originally for a generic fuel cap…not the official Cessna fuel cap. It is a perfect fit and is what I use in my gascolator and oil filler cap.)

Re: Oil Filler Cap Seal?
The oil cap and seal are remarkably similar to a '60s or '70s VW Type 1 oil cap and seal in form fit and function....
