ragwing trim colors.

Post by 3958v »

Does anyone have an old color picture or brochure which would show the colors of the wing numbers, tail number and the cessna 170 logo on the tail of a 48 170. I am in the process of recovering the wings and doing a paint job on my bird and trying to make it as original as possible. Bill K.

There was a post about this not too long ago.It mighta been the old yahoo site. I looked thru the posts here & couldn't find it.
Supposedly, all ragwings were polished aluminum with painted trim, the trim either being green or red. I assume the logo on the tail matched the rest of the trim, don't know if the registration numbers did also or not.
