I have a Edo Aire DG (M# 4000-B) that has ceased to work. I had it overhauled in 1993 so no complaints about its life. I have checked with four overhaul facilities and all are very close in est. cost except one (Rudy's) who is slightly less. Nu Tek, who did the OH in '93 will give a 10% discount if Trade-A-Plane is mentioned. Making their cost $365 plus shipping. These facilities give a one yr warranty.
I also have an opportunity to get a used DG from a facility on the field who does a lot of conversions on Piper Navajo's where they replace steam gauges with glass panels. I do not have a price yet nor do I know what, if any, warranty would apply.
Seeking suggestions which route might be the best.
