Cessna Airframe Log

Postby Mschwarzkopf » Thu Mar 02, 2017 9:13 pm

Anybody know where to get the old style Cessna Airframe Logbooks?

I did a search on the Form P121-13 that is listed on the first page, but came up empty. What are you using instead?

Thanks!
Mike

Maintenance must be logged. However the FARs do not say exactly in what type of log, ie paper or bound and it does not describe a log take a specific form, only what must be contained in each record. So you could use any thing from loose index cards to any bound note book and in fact it could be an electronic record.

For convenience I use the cheaper soft logs you can find many places for $5-$7.

Thanks, guys. That log is definitely not from '51. The originals were lost or destroyed long ago. All I have is from '96 on. I need a new log and was hoping to keep consistency.

I wish I was related, Arash! Not a day goes by without being asked! Not since 1991, anyway. Stormin' Norman may be one of our last greatest Generals. Amazing history with his father, too.

My family is all very proud to share his name.

Yes you can get this log book from Cessna. Ordered two last year. Inside the front cover shows Form P122-13 for the yellow log book. Good luck!!!!

Perhaps if demand was adequate the Association could get a batch of the original style reproduced, with all the proper permissions of course. Surely Textron would cooperate for such timeless classic.

Any printer could make some up, ...the only issue might be the Cessna copyrighted logo.

I'd think it might be cool to take a pic of your own airplane and have a printer make up a cover for your logs using the pic.

Current update: These are still available, as well as the P122-13 Engine log. But you have to have an account with Textron Tech pubs or something like that. I live in Wichita, so I had Airparts order them for me.
