ADS-B and GPS required????

Post by DoubleOught »

I recently installed skyBeacon on my Wing tip, works great. Here’s my question. While filling out the paperwork it ask about how mans GPS units you have on board. I have a Garmin 196 and an iPad only, of course non TSOed, is it required to have a GPS now ? I have all the old school steam gauges they all work and I can use them, however my ForeFlight has spoiled me a little. Did anyone hit this wall ??? I also got the matching right hand and it’s also a ads-b-in, any help would be appreciate.
Is it required to haves GPS on ????

No GPS for navigation is required anywhere in any airspace.

I think you might have been filling out a marketing questionnaire. I've installed 5 Skybeacons or Tailbeacons and did not have to answer any questions.
