Magneto Inspection Shops

My Bendix mags now have just over 500 hrs since their last inspection by Aaron Williams at Select Aircraft Services in Lancaster, TX. Aaron has closed his shop and gave me, some months ago, a recommendation for a shop in Honey Grove, TX. Don't recall the name, but they were at Love Field in Dallas previously. I am always interested in what others who have had actual experience with vrs shops have to say regarding recommendations. I'd appreciate input.

For many many years I referred folks to the same people who likely did Roscoe Turner’s, Jimmy Doolittle’s, Eddie Rickenbacher’s, and Amelia Earhardts magnetos... (they’ve been in the business for a while).... I once toured their shop (wooden Quonset Hut with old odd tooling and workbenches with open-terminals and sparks flying between terminals...looks like a Frankenstein/scientist’s laboratory/workshop).... but clean and a little mysterious)....and they are one of the few who still completely RE-magnetize the magnets even: They are NOT someone who’d be likely to “fix it up, paint it, and mail it back to you”.. If you send it to them... it WILL have every SB, SL, and AD complied and it will be better than new... no short cuts.... so don’t think it’s gonna be a “discount job”. It will be done right! (Haven’t talked to them in a few years but they appear to still be in business)
