Tachometer Replacement

Post by Robin.love2fly »

Hi there!
This is my first post, so bear with me...

I need to replace the tach in my 1953 170B.

Looking to order through Chief: Mitchell mechanical recording tach (MIT RT7, 3-1/8" hole).

https://www.chiefaircraft.com/media/cat ... it_rt7.jpg

Is this a good option for the $$, or does anyone have another more desirable alternative?.

Thanks for your input.

That’s it.

D1-112-5023 (same as RT-7) is what I got, screened with the RPM limits.

Robin, that’s exactly what I did 14 years and 650 hours ago, and it’s still working like a new one. For a nominal fee, they marked the face to my specifications as shown in the photo.
