Hello all,
I think it is time for me to overhaul the engine in my 170A. I know there are a lot of opinions on when and why the engine should be overhauled but for me, I feel this is the time.
I have read and searched the threads for information and found a lot of very valuable insight. But I am looking for anyone who has had experience with Signature engines in Cincinnati Ohio? If you don't want to post it please PM me. They say they have rebuilt 8 C-145 and 60 O-300 engines since 2016. I figure some of them must be in 170s.
Its a lot of money and of course a critical decision who I trust with my engine.
Thank you for your help!

Re: C-145 Overhaul Shop
I think a friend of mine here on our airport used Signature recently for his C-145/O-300. He flies fairly often, so it seems the they did a fair job. Look up Harmon Pierce in the Association Directory and give him a call.

Is that a “typo”....?? Do they really claim to have rebuilt Sixty O-300s in the last 5 years? Seems unlikely.

Thank you! Since you mentioned it George, 60 does seem like a lot. They say they do 4-5 engines a week. I looked at their videos on YouTube and they seem like a good place - they even have Phil Boyer interviewing the owner
