Lead Acid Batteries Explained

Post by GAHorn »

Two older films explaining lead-acid battery chemistry.
When viewing these, one might remember that some batteries are dry-charged when purchased and that acid is added by the consumer. These batteries should be placed on a charger and top-charged before installation.
The first video shares the early manufacturing processes also.
The second video goes further into the actual chemistry of the battery.

(Please... this thread is about lead-acid batteries and is posted for educational purposes. Please, let’s not let this thread descend into discussions about our personal-favorite battery technologies.... another thread could address that topic.)
