Normal fuel pressure on a 48

Post by ssell39 »

I am trying to find out what normal fuel pressure should be on a 48? My gauge has been changed and not sure markings are correct.

Looking for normal at cruise, I’m showing 1 1/2 lbs. with book saying 1 1/2 to 3. My gauge is marked .5 to 8

The Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) for the C145-2 calls for 1.5 to 6 psi at the carb inlet for aircraft with a pump system. My guess is that the photo Bruce took here is of an original gauge. Note that the 1 p.s.i. red line matches what the Owners Manual calls for in the before takeoff checklist as minimum idling fuel pressure.

Thank you for the input. At high rpm I am at 1 1/2 and low rpm at 2 1/2 so I was wondering if this is normal characteristics for this fuel pump.
