Simple maintenance gone Wrong

Post by GAHorn »

Sometimes, as we amateurs work on our own equipment we take liberties we thing are simple procedures. Simple mechanical procedures can go very wrong. Here’s an example: A fellow decided to remove the defective valve from an oxygen cylinder. He thought it might be a simple thing to just Loosen the valve and let the oxygen slowly escape…then when it was all gone…the valve could be replaced.

Nope. Not that simple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lw_fhNAIQc&t=48s
