What were these holes for?

Just for the record after visiting my hangar,(spelled it correctly this time) the two holes for the name plate are about 6 inches aft and about 3 inches below the ash tray holes. They are on both sides and approximately 5 inches above the three armrest attach holes. I use the terms about and approximately because they are not in the same precise relative position right vs left. They are on my 52 model and not my 54 model. As I recall, the name tag said “Catlin”. So I stand corrected.
