Front seat grab handles, original?

Post by 1moretw »

I understand that 170B's had grab handles mounted on the front door posts. If anyone has pictures of their handles, I would appreciate pic posting. Looking for what might be original and what others might have as acceptable replacements. Thanks

Originals are hard to come by and usually in bad shape due to seeing a lot of hard use.

F. Atlee Dodge in Anchorage has made replica end fittings from stainless steel bar stock that can be hand finished to look original.

The picture shows an original with Atlee’s reproductions.

A guy in Anchorage braids grab handles out of 550 parachute cord but I don’t have his name, maybe someone else will know who he is.
