Hello,
I'm ordering a new prop, and for the paperwork to all fall into place, I need to determine my exact engine subtype. I'm not certain whether it's a C-145-2, 2D, 2H, etc.
Based on the fact that my engine serial number is 8580-D-4-2, can I assume it's a C-145-2? Or is it something different?
Thanks in advance!
Jason
Please help me determine my exact model of C-145

Re: Please help me determine my exact model of C-145
The data tag will be stamped C-145-2H. if the H is missing it is just a -2. There aren't that many H models. The H model has a control on the left front side that will be wired closed, unless you have a very rare 2 position McCauley prop or the correct model Aeromatic prop installed. I can't find a picture of one at the moment.
Here is the illustration of the control from the IPC with a red arrow point to the control lever. I wonder why it would matter as a C-145-2 or 2H can use the same fixed pitch prop. The crank flange is exactly the same.
