Changing Filter/ Screen without draining oil?

Post by Marion »

On the 0300, I need to remove the screen and would like to do it without dumping the oil. Does anyone know if I can do this or am I going to have an oil spill?
thanks

I am no expert but my guess is you are going to have a mess.

Even if you drain enough oil into a clean bucket so that the level is below the level of the oil screen, there is going to be enough residual oil in the screen housing and line to make a mess if you aren’t very careful and maybe a bit even if you are.

You are going to have to drain the oil.
