Throttle cable

Post by 4583C »

My problem springs from ten years of the plane being disassembled. Not too many extra pieces yet, but I can't find the anchor for the throttle cable shroud in the engine compartment. The mixture cable mounts on an aluminum channel attached to the engine mount but I can't find anything similar for the throttle and I can't remember ,or find a picture of how it mounts. This is on an early 53 model. Thanks for you help during this senior moment! Paul

Throttle anchor

Paul, I forgot to tell you in the other email, but while I was looking for my oil leak Sat I looked and that piece we discussed via phone the other night is no longer on my engine. Don't know what happened to it or maybe my mechanic didn't either think it necessary or just forgot to put it back on, but it seems to work OK.

The mounting arrangment you are seeking is illustrated on pg. 84 of the IPC.
