I hate to call B.S. on a supporter like McFarlane but the FAA issued blanket FAA-PMA on Timken wheel bearings based upon Timken part numbers….and it makes no difference where you source those parts if they’re genuine Timken. The PNs for C-170 are found on pgs 16 and 26…but remember the cup for the 172 (pg 11) is what is used on the Cleveland wheels…not the one originally used on 170/Goodyears. (minor outside-diameter differences)
