One set of 170 gear legs. Removed from my A model. Appear to be early B legs. .635 thick with dimple for brake line, no hole.
Previously cleaned primed and painted with gray epoxy . Great condition . $750 .I have wooden crate(s) for shipping anywhere. Rick 804-347-4156

Rick a picture of the bottom of the leg from the axle mount to just above the first bend, would confirm what legs they are.

Have you been able to determine if these are original legs or lady legs from a B model?

Photos clearly show that they are not Lady Legs.

Welcome Orangepeel, to the association, hope we can help you with your project. I’m guessing you might be a painter or resident of Florida, or ????
a new 170 owner ?
The lady leg has a small narrowing of the leg near the bottom, has an arch and are either for the R/H or L/H side. Good luck with your search.

180 legs might be easier to find and TIC170A has the STC to install them on your 170.

The gear is also flat whereas lady legs have an arch, will not lay flat. The arch (an outward bow) obvious when a plane is viewed from the nose looking aft. This prior post has pics of a few lady legs (half way down the page)https://forum.cessna170.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=12717&hilit=lady+legs+picture&start=15 . Identified by the narrowing of the leg just above the axle mounting area.
Early legs when viewed from the nose looking aft will bow in the middle of the leg inwards towards the ground.

All,

Thanks for all the great info and help on this. At the expense of Rick’s ad. I can see the difference now.

Yes, I would prefer 180 legs. Should anyone have a set, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
