TX August 8th, 2020 Navasota 60R

Members Jamie & Pat Crandall have arranged for a day of fun and have invited us to fly into Navasota to enjoy it with them.

Their invitation reads: August 8th will be a fun day. We will fly to Navasota https://www.airnav.com/airport/60R where we will take a variety of old vehicles and drive to Houston Soaring Club field approx. 25 miles southeast to watch 80 pilots from all across the country launch their final National competitive event around noon.

From there we will drive to Bever's Kitchen in Chappell Hill for lunch and finally back to 60R around 3 pm.

Please plan to arrive at Navasota prior to 10 am. We look forward to a great turnout as the soaring club is looking forward to meeting everyone.

Saturday the 8th of August Texas members had a very fine fly-in to Navasota 60R.

Our hosts Jamie and Pat Crandall and Daughter Diane met us at the airport with some beautiful vintage cars (with AC even) and took us on a nice scenic ride through the country to Chappel Hill, TX where we enjoyed lunch at Bever's Kitchen. I would strongly recommend eating there if you are ever near that part of central Texas. Almost everything is home made there including the pie.

After eating more than plenty and getting a briefing from Sheila Wyborny about our upcoming Christmas party we had the pleasure of another fun ride back to the airport.

Everyone would like to thank Jamie and Pat for arranging a fun day.
