Due to indecision (Indecision: The key to flexibility), we hope all our Cessna 170 association members and guests will be able to support and enjoy two fly-ins during October. Of course, both are subject to change to comply with whatever State laws may be in effect at the time, but we will hope both can happen as planned.

Most of us are familiar with the annual Reklaw fly-in/camp-out held the 4th weekend of October each year, which we have attended as a group many times over the years. When the weather cooperates it is large and a very fun fly-in.

But earlier and further south in Texas is the annual fly-in at Angleton on the 3rd of October, which we have not attended as a group, but it is a good fly-in. It is usually held in the spring, but delayed until October this year due to the pandemic we are dealing with.

On Saturday October 3rd let's plan to attend the Angleton fly-in https://www.facebook.com/lbxflyin at Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport https://www.airnav.com/airport/KLBX and enjoy the day with everyone else. Let's please gather in front of the restaurant prior to 11:00 am for visiting and photos. Food is supposed to be available at the restaurant and from food trucks.

On Saturday October 24, let's plan to attend the Reklaw fly-in http://reklawflyin.org/ at The Flying M Ranch https://www.airnav.com/airport/7TA7 . Come on the 23rd if you can and let's please meet at the registration booth prior to 11:00 am Saturday morning for visitation and photos. Lunch will be served around noon for those who wish.

Also, I would like to mention there has been discussion with the hosts of the Reklaw fly-in about trying to honor the Cessna 170 at next year's fly-in if details can be worked out, so let's all try to attend and support their fly-in this year if possible. Please don't forget to register.
