TX C170 Fly-in April 10th, 2021, Woodville

Post by c170ken »

Texas TIC170A members and guests flew to Woodville, Texas to socialize and have lunch on Saturday the 10th of April, 2021.
There were five very fine representatives of the classic Cessna 170 that were able to attend.  There were other members and guests who arrived in a Beech Travel Air, Maule, RV6, and C-182.
There was some cloudiness for early arrivals, but by 11:00 in the morning it was a beautiful sunny Texas day.
The best part of the day was seeing and visiting with friends, but in addition to that was some nice cross country flights and a very fine fried chicken meal served family style at The Pickett House Restaurant.  They have a real gracious crew at the restaurant who are more than willing to pick up a bunch of hungry pilots and passengers at the airport and then return them to their airplanes with full bellies.
Everyone enjoyed each others company and a great day was had by all.
The 17 people in attendance were:  Mark McMillan II, Joey Redden, LeRoy Fournier, Bob Jolley, Robert Jolley, Keven Boyette, Ross Boyette, Richard Pulley, Ina Vleeshouwer, Peter and Judi Coffey, John and Colleen Lawson, Meghan Masura, Karl Towle, Sandy Meyerson and Ken Peck

I was expired on my flight review status (which I corrected only yesterday)..... so I’m sorry I missed an opportunity to eat with friends at Pickett House. Great eatery.

Thanks Ken, for keeping things going.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
