We all love our mistresses (airplanes). This is one of my favorite photos of mine. (This was taken by another Member during the Kelowna Convention Fly-Out over Lake Okanagan, B.C. without my knowledge and emailed to me. In my right seat was Buddy McGown and in the backseat was Solomon Bruck.)

Re: Photo Album
I recently finished some work (overhauled alternator, new mufflers, new Mueller Exhaust STC, etc…) and had a chance to fly the 170 to work, so…why not? The FBO that houses the jet I fly was nice enough to let me park her in a nearby hangar during my trip. I love the contrast of the sleek, powerful jets next to the timeless beauty and class of the 170.

A 170 adds a touch of class to any hangar!

Nice photo of TIC170A board member David Nelson’s (the American, not the Aussie
) 170B taken at Sun-N-Fun by AvWeb in their day 2 gallery.

Someone brighter than me pointed out that David L(ocal) Nelson is in the U.S. while David J( http://alanwood.id.au/aussie-english/j.html ) is Down-Under in Australia.
Hint: the link in my post is an illustration of the Australian terms/words which begin with the letter “J”. http://alanwood.id.au/aussie-english/j.html
One might also consider the “J” to stand for JUNGLE-JUICE.

Re: Photo Album
My wife upgraded her panel. Kept the original bulkhead. I think it turned out pretty good with 2 G5's, a Garmin 650xi, a CO detector, and two glove boxes. The 170 actually makes a fantastic IFR machine. We shot a couple of approaches to LPV mins and an ILS. And we got to remove the vacuum system! (And she hates electrical stuff, so we kept original pitot static instruments and engine instruments).

Re: Photo Album
Whoo-Hooo! Yes….the 170 is a great little non-precision IFR machine!
