You probably would not have been able to catch the Colonel with this one.

Earlier in its life it must have lived at a beach resort because when I took it apart it had sand in places it just couldn't have sand.
Is that a Whitworth Spanner laying on the block of wood? (Get your Whitworth tools here: https://www.samstagsales.com/whitworth_table.htm)
George, I had the Whitworth experience a long time ago (back in the last century) on a Triumph TR3. I have no idea what became of my Whitworth wrench set, fortunately the Moke is all inch sizes.

Gary, I don't know how badly the members in BC might need a "Schwimmwagen" for sure the ones on Maui need one.

Things have since dried out.
I think the sand left on my hangar floor came from Maui

All good thanks Charlie, new parts of CYPK have been preloaded and built up. I think the high point here, the runways are 9-12 feet asl, I’m in the old part which effectively has been “ lowered” and as I’ve been regularly out of town, I had took the precaution of putting almost everything up high on shelves. My hangar is maybe the highest at Command and I had about a foot of water in the hangar, most of which had drained away by the time I got there Tuesday. I just had to let wood things dry out and remove my wheels to clean and repack. Needed to do that for the annual anyways!

Jim,
That is too cool! It would be worth buying just to be able to say you’re restoring a Messerschmitt in your hangar. It appears parts are readily available — in Europe at least.

I’ve been told I need at least three; one to drive, one to work on, and one for parts. Still short the parts car…
