It has taken a while putting the 170B back together with a few small improvements along the way, but today I ran the engine for the first time and completed taxi runs whilst warming the engine. Then oil change and leak down tests, followed by more taxi runs with grandchildren Rebecca and Harry along for the ride. Just need final Annual paperwork inspection and we are ready to fly.

Wow, what a great story. I also highly encourage you to write up a full article for the 170 Magazine

Jughead, don’t look to hard at his power plant, it might give you ideas for improving your STOL T/O numbers.
Really nice plane, I like the colour. Seems the number of 170’s in the UK is growing.

I don't have any interest in a 360. I would rather make my 145 a 165

Kevin,
I hope we can work something out, I will get in touch with you closer to October.

George work out a trip to London the first weekend of November and take in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, it is a hoot, cars have to be 1904 or older and some of the most interesting ideas about what early motor cars were to be.

Kevin,
I sent an e-mail to your e-mail address listed here in your profile, did it come though?
