New Stewards of a C170B

Post by DC_Wolfe »

Well, our search for the perfect C170B is finally over! For those who might know Russ from the club, he was an excellent caretaker and we plan to continue the tradition.

This airplane is fast. We’re looking forward to flying in from one corner of the country to the next (Washington to Florida!)

It might still be the new car smell, but I have to admit I like the sound of the O-300D better than the O-360. When we first started the airplane, my wife said, “Oooo... now that purrrrrrrs!” .. Always a good sign!

I’ll be using the C-170B for tailwheel transition training, too. If you’re down in FLorida for the winter and need a BFR near Fort Lauderdale (we’ll be in Pompano Beach, FL at the end of January) stop by and say hello!

Congratulations! What a beautiful aircraft, and I know that you are going to have amazing journeys in the coming months. Give a yell if you happen to pass through the Atlanta area -

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)

It was!

It's in Boise, ID now. Enroute to Florida next month.

I am currently in the Keys till April and need a BFR. How long will you be in Pompano? I will be heading up that way for Sun and Fun and wondering if you might be around at that time. Old guy trying to get back in the saddle, 1952 170B 3133B on Long Island NY.
