Don’t be shy about asking the supplier to replace it with another. You never know… they might feel generous..and they might alternatively offer a discount.
New plastic and glass can carry-over mfr’g stress. (Of course, installing plastic in cold weather is always hazardous.)

Lots of horror stories on Vans Air Force forums where new $1000+ (NOT counting shipping) canopies get cracked. :( And, they are substantially thicker than 170 windshields. I have one in my hangar I’ve been tiptoeing around for several years now.

Another little tip when playing with windscreens , always store them end on length wise . BUT if you are shipping or storage it for some time , I remove the windscreen carefully from the box and then wrap the windscreen generously with “Glad Wrap” or any food plastic wrap or even that black garden plastic sheeting . Replace in the box and then introduce expanding foam [carefull with the amount] so it moves around the box . After curing [do not breath the fumes ] that box will really protect that windscreen from breakages. We all know that a lot of shipping agents can’t read the words “this way up” or fragile handle with care “. Or “ top load only” .
