Is there a Cessna 170 hanging in a museum?

I have seen the 180 piloted by a lady from Ohio. Hanging Smithsonian.

My question is about the C170.

Why not"?

I tend to agree with you. The ragwing 170 is the root airplane for the flat engine four place series of airplanes that are still produced today.
Seems like that should make it a historically significant aircraft. Bill K

Western North Carolina Air Museum has one. Agree with Bill though; it should be a '48.

I describe the '48 to anyone that asks (and some that don't) as the grandmother of the 172 - itself the most produced airplane ever - and thus historically significant.

The museum has their airplane misidentified as a ‘54. It’s really a ‘55.

Less than 40 serial numbers newer than my airplane. Mine was built in October of 1954, so this airplane was most likely also built in calendar year 1954, even thought it is a 1955 MODEL.

Apparently there’s a ‘48 at Massey Air Museum.

I ran across this aviation museum database which claims to be the most comprehensive one in the world. Who knew there was an aviation museum in Firebaugh, CA?
