Good afternoon all,
I am looking at possibly purchasing my first 170 (and my first plane!) and am wondering if anyone has any opinion on N2932D.
I'm also looking for a good A&P down in the LA area that can do a pre-buy on it.
Thanks in advance!
Ryan

Ryan,
Looks like a very clean plane from the photos the seller posted. Nice avionics package. Do some research on this website on doing a prebuy vs. having an annual inspection done prior to purchasing the plane. Plane looks like a great candidate to go back to the original paint scheme as seen here:

Its in your backyard Gary, you know these better than most.....
If the pictures were better the collective group would likely have some thoughts. I just look at sites such as “ Bring a trailer” ( and buckets of cash) where sellers can post many pictures for prospective buyers and wish planes could be shown in the same manner.
So i see things that make me go humm but it could just be the pic or its just me.
I’ve just one additional thought though ; whenever I wander into a place that sees me as a stranger, like a fancy restaurant, they often start to size me up starting with my shoes. I find myself doing almost the same thing, I start at the tailwheel and I believe this plane needs a new tailwheel spring.

Take the plane to Santa Paula Sky Services (Brad Babic) at KSZP. Great guy, familiar with 170s.
Good luck! Chris
