4 C170's at a pumpkin drop [Pix & Video]

Post by huminajumina »

Hey everyone,

This is my first post here that wasn't a reply..... so please feel free to be   if its in the wrong place!

A few weeks ago I asked some friends if we could do a Pumpkin Drop at a local Grass strip, and they really put together one heck of a show. If this works right, here are a few photos and a link to a youtube video. The event was held at P17 (Greater Breezewood Regional Airport) and it was a great time!

It was a great event and we thoroughly enjoyed it, even if I broke my tailwheel stiffener...... which I have already dug through old posts and found the replacement parts.... unfortunately Air Repair has upped their price from the $32 to $131.60, but its in the mail 8O

Very nice. Thanks. Years ago we used to raid Old Rheinbeck, with Cole Palen’s approval, and drop pumpkins while they shot at us with their propane anti aircraft guns. Lots of fun.

Years later one individual decided to do it on his own without telling the Aerodrome or getting permission. He dropped a pumpkin through the wing of the New Standard while they were loading passengers. No one got hurt but the Feds took a dim view of the operation.
