Congratulations Miles and Karen Bowen on their award at Airventure 2021! They took home the Outstanding C170 Small Plaque award. Great job. Congratulations again.

Done, over on their “sticky” topic over in The Hangar. Also, I was going to post publicly on their FB page, but their page doesn’t allow that, so I sent the a thank you on FB Messenger and told them to repost it on their page if they wanted to.

A well-deserved award! I'm glad I got to OSH and saw 98C close-up.

Congratulations Miles and Karen! Your design and Del and crew's craftsmanship really paid off!

Looking back on that fateful day at Creve Coeur, it almost makes it worthwhile, almost, but not really.

I didn’t know Bubba was going to be there, but I did see a friend from Tehachapi who flew his Cessna 120 out.

Every time someone mentions the paint design I have to let them know that my daughter Amanda designed it. All I asked her for was something unique, yet classic, and I think she hit the nail on the head on both counts. I talked to a lady at Oshkosh who had been to a forum on scheme design, and she said that 98C’s hit every point the instructor talked about.

Sorry I missed you Rusty! We didn't spend as much time around the airplane as we intended. We were there from the Thursday before the start of the show until this past Friday. Being on eastern time we woke up early and got our showers so we wouldn’t have to stand in line half the day. We were usually done with breakfast and out doing the show by 8am. It was Karen’s first Oshkosh, and she didn’t seem to be able to get enough of it!

I saw the 172 at the Red Barn, but had no idea it was yours. Congratulations on your Best Continuously Maintained award! I was at the awards presentation three(?) years ago when your 170 got Grand Champion.
