I believe it’s simply “Generation”.

I know LTE stands for “Long Term Evolution.”

FAA has Notamed all operation using radar altimeters NA. So, no more auto land or auto hover for us in our 170s

And no more medevac flights anywhere at night (as 5g is all over according to the comm industry) flown with NVGs as a working RA is required to do so. Flying with NVGs is probably the single largest safety improvement implemented in medevac ops in 30 years. Back to searching for landing zone obstacles like wires and poles with a search light.

Well the FAA just exempted medevac helicopter flights from the RA requirement for 2 years giving operators time to install a RA not effected by 5g.
