A big welcome to the organisation, that’s one very pretty aeroplane . Any chance of some interior photos ? Some of us would be wondering where did it come from and some history of the aircraft . Plus how do you keep your hangar so clean? I can spend the day cleaning my hangar and before you know it , it’s back to square one . The wind blows leaves and dirt in ,then family ,friends invade my space and ask can we use your vice or drill etc and I am back to square one again.

Listen Right now. You should cut your losses, Sell this aircraft right now to me for $25,000.00, my final offer and use the $$ for a down payment on a new Cirrus SR 22, you will be much happier!

Thank you for the welcoming comments. To answer some questions:
First off, that is Definitely not the way my hangar looks. See cutlass picture in following post below.

I am working on putting together what history I can about the airplane and will update with more detail later if interested. It was local to me here in Indiana and I have admired it for quite sometime. Before Indiana, it came from Missouri where that owner stripped, repainted etc. It has around 3500 TT. Fairly original except for the usual STCs (Cleveland brakes, alternator etc.).

This is not my first airplane. I have owned a few 172s, a Rans S-19 with a Lycoming O-235 and I currently own a Cutlass and a 150 (that my daughter is learning to fly in) in addition to the 170. I am airplane poor and need to sell the 150 as soon as my daughter gets her ticket in a couple months and sell the Cutlass after some longer cross country trips I have planned.

I will attach a couple other pictures of the 170 and a picture of Cutlass showing actual hangar conditions below.

The last two pictures are of my Dad's Luscombe (he is based in Northern California) and my Grandfather and Dad circa 1945 or so). I would not be in the seat of a 170 without his and my Grandfather's influence. I have always been attracted to the vintage/classic aircraft due to my Father and Grandfather's influence. I just can't relate to the people who "Can't wait to buy a Bonanza or a Cherokee 6". Thank you Dad.
