Hmmmnn….
Did the WagaBond or Carbon Cub put a dent or improve the values of the original Cubs?
What did the re-introduction of the “new” 172 do to the sales prices of the existing pre-86 172s..?
I wanted a pretty, sculptured-tail airplane that could carry two easy and four in a pinch. I don’t need ultra-short-field performance. My 206 and Baron ownership taught me I can only afford low operating and mx costs. So, I bought a 170 instead of a 195.
Flat sided airplanes are ugly and I don’t need another project.
I don’t think it will help …or hurt 170 values.
I hope they do well with it, however. Vans is a great outfit. (As home-builts they won’t have much commercial application…. but If they’d go into production with it they’d probably sell a ton of ‘em.)

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons.
