Blue Angels

Post by Curtis Brown »

Tupelo, MS (TUP) just held an Airfest this past weekend. There were about 50,000 spectators I was told. It was a great success and the Blue Angels were fantastic. There were other performers as well as a B 17, B 25 and many military aircraft on display. If you have never seen the Blues perform it is well worth a trip in a 170 to get there.
I flow out on Sunday AM to get my 13 yr old son over in BHM so he could see it. When we got back just before the airport close I had to park the 170 out in the grass off the taxi way. There were too people already walking around on the ramp. Later when the Blues taxied in I got pics of my 170 on the grass in the foreground and those beautiful blue F 18's in the background. Also, got a great pic of the B 17 and my 170 together. I looked at it as a once in a life time photo opportunity.
