Scott Tailwheel Bearing

Post by N73087 »

My bearing is starting to growl. I can't find the axle bearings listed on the Scott 3200 diagram. Does anyone have a part number for the bearings?
Axle bearings, not the "king pin" bearing.

My records show I used these during the rebuild of
my tailwheel:

Cone = A4050 Alternate part # = 13286 Sacramento Skyranch = $18.36 each
Cup = A4138 Alternate part # = 13287 Sacramento Skyranch = $18.69 each

I believe these are Timken #s

I also found them locally (industrial bearing/supply place) for substantially
less than the Sac. Skyranch prices.

Here's a link to a reliable bearing supplier. Don't be afraid to cross-reference bearings to a well known brand such as Timken, Torrington, etc. Just always replace them in complete sets and never seperate cups/cones from each other.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
