Static RPM
Just installed my refreshed mags and did a run up to see if the timing might be close to what it should be. O-300B with standard 76 X 53 prop, temp was approx 84 degrees and elevation 614 ft. My static rpm was at 2300. Does this sound like I am getting the rpm I should? Timing reasonably close?

Re: Static RPM
Yep. TCDS says 2230-2330. (if you have a DM prop) and 2250-2350 (if you have a MDM prop)

Re: Static RPM
For those who might not know, you don't set your mag timing according to static RPM. Though if the timing is not correct, your engine may not be able to make the static RPM it otherwise could.
