Flying at night for the first time a couple of days ago uncovered a problem with the panel illumination...or I should say lack of illumination Both of the overhead lights are working when I look up at them, but there is no light projected onto the panel, with the exception semi-round "slivers" of light similar to a very thin cresent moon.
Is there any way to adjust the two overhead light fixtures so that they project an even "flood" of light onto the instrument panel

Yep. Those Grimes "torpedo" lights are fully adjustable and need to be re-aimed. Get a screwdriver and take the overhead panel down and you'll see how it's done. They also have a small knob at their aft end which will refocus the spot. The earlier single-bulb units are also prone to blockage due to the headliner falling into the light-beam. When you take the panel down it should be apparent how to fix it.
