Hi all! great forum! Im the proud new owner of a 170A 180hp, love the plane! Im doing an annual inspection on it and i removed the control yokes to have them powder coated, and I plan on replacing the rivets P# 0413216-1 but Preferred Airparts is asking $55.44 a peace, is there an alternative #? or a better source? also looking for a 100hr/annual inspection checklist, my 9 year old son and I are planing lots of adventures in our new bird
thank you for your help.
John
Congrats on the new plane!
My yokes are secured with AN4 bolts, an approved alternative to the original rivet. Should be a simple log book entry by your A&P.
An AN24 clevis bolt would be just as good and have a cleaner look.

John, thanks for joining the Associaiton. I just upgraded you forum account so you will see additional areas of the forum. You can now also post pictures. Here are instructiions: http://www.cessna170.org/forums/viewtop ... =12&t=8777
The following links will take you into our library. There is no official list for the 170 specifically. The Owners Manual has a list and perhaps the 100 series service manual '62 and prior will have one.
Welcome to the association, John. Hope you new ride treats you and your family well.
Aside from guessing at the secret handshake, posting pictures is probably the hardest feat new members are faced with. Then again new members are sometimes subjected to the constant nagging of some within the club to participate in a club convention. Personally I believe the practice borders on outright ill timed coercion especially seeing as you just joined and the convention is in 3 weeks time.
So can you come?
Hi John, welcome aboard! Hope you and your son have many years of enjoyment and memories with your new plane. This is a great group of folks and I encourage you to join in as much as you can.
That landing video from Alaska is not too shabby for an A model either!
