I'll be mounting my new tires tomorrow under supervision of a TC170A member and A&P. Can anyone tell me the torque values for the wheel bolts and brake caliper bolts? I have Cleveland wheels and Cleveland double puck brakes.
Thanks, JP White

The Cleveland Technician's Service Guide has the same information you are looking for except in a simpler, shorter format. Here is a link to it (I hope I've done this right):

Re: Torque Values
Yes indeed, very bad. This may be the most common mistake that mechanics make (owner mechanics AND A&P mechanics). Not just brake calipers, but tightening/torquing in general. I've watched behind and inspected behind many very experienced mechanics. Over torque, by a very large margin, takes up the largest chunk of the pie chart in mechanic mistakes. Most folks, including myself sometimes, forget about the leverage the tool offers.Aryana wrote:..........over torquing the steel bolts in the thin aluminum caliper is bad news!........
