Another great issue of The 170 News. Thanks to all who work on it. A special shout out to Bruce Fenstermacher for the excellent article on the Scott 3200 Tail Wheel. I'm prepairing to to install new leaf springs and hardware so the article was perfect timing.

i will be reading that one tonight. i did read the fly/bike TR that Jughead wrote. i've ridden that hill:) sure would like to visit with the 170 next time :)

I met Kyle Fosso two weeks ago when I landed at Anacortes. What an inspiration! To buy a sunken 170 at the age of 15, get your A&P, and do a total rebuild from the ground up. He even has a new fuel injected Lyc hanging on it. He's doing a great restoration job on it.

reading the Scott article, 35lbs in the tire? really?

Yes really.

Do you think it to high or to low? The tire under heavier load can handle higher than 35 lbs.

Its all good, but my favorite is the the excellent article on the Scott 3200 Tail Wheel. (Im a bit fixated on the tailwheel...)

Do you think it to high or to low? The tire under heavier load can handle higher than 35 lbs.
too low, thought i always had to run 45+ where does the 35 number come from?

The Cessna 170 Owners Manual and a sticker found in nearly every glove box door if you have one.
