Seat covers
Fellow 170'ers, Happy New Year! I'm looking for seat covers for every day use, not much of a sower, knitter, etc. any ideas? Thanks Kelley, no the other one!
Re: Seat covers
Stay away from the transparent plastic covers.
Happy New Year!
Seriously, look for something fire resistant. Sheepskin maybe? Pet peeve of mine is the FAA having all these fire-resistant requirements for aircraft upholstery and then airlines providing crew members polyester uniform material.Happy New Year!

PLUS ONE! I argued that at my employer for years, and when I became chief pilot we got new uniforms!n2582d wrote:... Pet peeve of mine is the FAA having all these fire-resistant requirements for aircraft upholstery and then airlines providing crew members polyester uniform material.
...!
As for seat covers... to protect my "original fabric" refurbished seats, they are covered in flame-retardant-treated cotton slip-covers sewn by the upholstery shop.
