http://www.norcalflightcenter.com

Norcal Flight Center just recently opened at Lincoln Regional Airport outside of Sacramento CA. Our field has been without a flight school for a while, so it's great that Chris Braun (the owner) took the initiative and started this thing.

I am one of the tailwheel CFI's in the schools 1946 Cessna 120. If you own a 170 and want to start out in the 120 come check us out! We can also provide instruction in your airplane at a reduced rate.

If this school takes off I might be able to talk the owner into buying a 170 :D :D

Is it legitimate to post information of instructors that I know of?

Don't see why not. While most post here are from the person themselves the point is to spread information so people can find a CFI.

Thanks for that Bruce. In light of my own difficulties in finding a tailwheel instructor in Fairbanks lately, I would like to add the following to the list:

Fairbanks:

Clayton (Clay), Craynor: Owns and instructs in a PA-18 (year round)
Heather Zulkanycz: Owns and instructs in a PA-22/20 (maybe year round?)

. . .oops, will need to update my contact info for them. Standby.

p.s. If you are in or near Fairbanks, contact U.A.F. Aviation Department for contact details of both i
nstructors.

Anyone in the Skagit WA area that's a CFI? Looking for 170B dual. Got the plane, need a couple hours for insurance.

Deere 1450,

If I may be allowed to endorse Jughead, you will not find a better 170 specific Instructor in the Region. You will learn more about flying your 170B from Jughead than you ever thought possible.

I have used him for many hours of instruction and will continue to use him in the future.

Received my requisite 2 hour insurance checkout with Jughead today after my -170 purchase. Can not recommend him enough. Knowledgeable, professional and easy going. I'm a F-18 dude with not a lot of civilian/tailwheel time. With that said I'm a challenge for any CFI due to my jet-learned habits and HUD cripple. Jughead is a patient instructor and made me feel confident in flying my airplane safely. I will continue to use his instruction and highly recommend him for anyone interested in -170 instruction.
