1952 170B Yoke Rivet

Post by WJRem »

Hello All,

My 1952 170B has two nuts and bolts attaching the "wheel control" to the "tube control". The Cessna Illustrated Parts Catalog shows part # 0413216-1 and # 0413216 as the two rivets that attach the wheel to the tube. I would be interested in peoples experience on replacing these or not.

Thank you, Bill

I also have nuts and bolts. I'm not concerned about it.

If there was slop in the joint, rivets might help. If it is tight, I agree that the bolts would not concern me.

After chroming and powder coating my controls, I opted for the "Gahorn" solution and it has worked fine for me now for quite awhile.

Sure beats the price of those rivets, heh?
