Let the record show I didn’t cause this thread creep, but sorry Jim, I’ll gladly pile-on following the Moderator!

I bought this tractor in 2013 to clear dead live oaks from my properly. I told the salesman I wanted the biggest tractor that would fit inside a 20’ shipping container with the grapple installed. So far, it has knocked down, stacked into piles, and burned over 600 trees in 48 piles so far in 300 hours of operation with virtually no problems. I have a lifetime supply of dead and dying live oaks left as this part of the Texas Hill Country is hard hit with oak wilt disease exacerbated by drought.

I did not have the proper respect for hydraulics until I started operating this tractor.

I am constantly amazed at what those tiny hydraulic cylinders will do.

Typical of the 48 burn piles, so far, many dead trees left to burn.

Wow again more tractor envy, you guys are living big.
Thanks for correcting my evil forum tendency to wander away from the subject and thanks Richard for the pics.
We inherited a small farm in the Annapolis valley, Nova Scotia that might be suitable for a strip. We now have several old tractors but I'm now on the hunt for another one to do something similar as Richard's action photos depict. Somewhat impractical to try to live on the West coast and East coast at different times of the year but distance wise, Richard you're probably doing the same.

Richard, one of the things I don’t care for on the M-model Kubotas is the lousy headlights that light up the back of the bucket. You might be interested in how I took care of the lighting up the whole pasture (Looks like we have the same grill-guard and this would work for you also)

And since this IS a WINTERIZATION topic: I always let the diesel warm up for about 5 minutes in winter before I put it to work.

Jim
I’ll keep going back and forth between Alaska and Texas as long as the travel itself is favorable, I’m physically in-shape to do it, and still enjoy it. This year has been a challenge but hopefully the worst is over.

Shredding brush and clearing dead trees is something I enjoy and only do in the daytime so I haven’t needed good lights. I have noticed the original equipment lighting is sorely lacking. Your light bar wouldn’t last long on my tractor pushing down and stacking dead trees.

Good idea on the light bar, I would put one on my hunting buggy if I knew someone who would invite me over to hunt pigs, at night, hint, hint.
