I just read the article in the Qtr 3 news, and saw the write up about the ragwing fuel pump.
Does anyone know if Leslie Partridge participates in the forums? His ragwing, s/n 18269 N3950V follows mine by one number, s/n 18268 N3949V.

Re: Qtr 3 news / N3950V
To my knowledge, Les does not spend much, if any, time online at all. He is based only a couple miles East from me, and it was during a visit to inspect his landing gear set-up that I brought the missing fuel pump issue to his attention. He (his A&P/IA) had installed an engine from a B-model and the lack of knowledge of the model led the A&P/IA to sign off the installation without a pump , ck-valve or gauge (not an uncommon error.)
A friend of mine (and a former co-worker at the state) has an A-model only a few miles West of my place. We drove over and opened it up and it was after looking over that airplane that Les decided to convert to the A-model system rather than return the airplane to the original pump system.
I had done business in a former time with a DAR at RAM aircraft engines who agreed to work with Les on the mod.
We talked only last week and Les has completed converting his airplane to mirror the A-model and will soon finish his follow-up on the modification.

Thanks for the info, George.
Mine is stock, with stock fuel line routing and the fuel pump in place.
I thought it was interesting to see an airplane with serial / tail numbers right next to mine! Maybe we'll meet up at a convention sometime.

Re: Qtr 3 news / N3950V
For a couple years I flew mine with the pump not working. When I realized that it didn't work, I then decided to rebuild and found a corroded hole in the body after cleanup. I ended up with a rebuilt pump.
