Seriously looking for a 170A or B

Post by a320Scott »

Hello Everyone,
I'm new here and I'm looking for a quality 170A or B.
I'm a professional pilot (USAF pilot training 1988 at Willy) and I'm currently building a RV14 with my 2 sons. We have a total of 11 pilots in my family over 3 generations (10 military/civilian and one brand new one undecided on the military).
I researched all the taildraggers out there and fell in love with the 170! I'm looking for a quality plane with little to no damage history and corrosion free that I can fly with my 2 sons and daughter, keep till I can't fly anymore, and then give it to my children.
Thank you in advance for any leads you can give me! I can't wait to own one!
Thanks for reading this post,
Scott Arnold

Forum members - I had a chance to take Scott up in my 170A this past Saturday morning for an introductory flight. Scott and his family are local; one of his sons currently works at the FBO at my airport and is an active pilot. If you have any leads on a quality 170, I can assure you that Scott and his family are the type of owners that we want to see as caretakers of these fantastic airplanes. It will be well-maintained, flown with precision and care, and spoiled rotten.
