Shortly after I purchased N3976V she lost oil pressure so I pulled the engine and sent it off to John Heitz. In the meantime as John forewarned me it would be several months before I got my overhauled engine back I purchased another engine. I bought a C-145 that was overhauled over 30 years ago with nearly 1,300 hours on it. I gave $8,500.00 for it, I wanted to get back in the air.

The engine is great, runs sweet and burns very little oil. After I had flown it a few minutes I ran a compression test - 1- 78 2- 74 3-77 4-77 5-73 6-75 I doubt if I will put 50 hours on it as I will soon have my original engine back. In a couple of more months I will put it up for sale and I will accept $8,000.00 for it. That is firm and non-negotiable. If a buyer is interested he should come see it, fly it and look it over while it is still on the airplane.
